Nine inspirational recipients have been added to the list of Queensland Greats. In its 20th year, the awards recognise and celebrate extraordinary achievements and life-time contributions by Queenslanders to the state and often, to the world.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced the latest additions on Queensland Day this morning.
Angus Lane, OAM was recognised for his contribution to regional and agricultural shows. Angus was Beef Australia’s ring announcer at Beef 1991 and has a long association with the event.
Angus has supported Queensland Agricultural shows of all sizes for more than 30 years, ensuring the very best in professional announcing is provided wherever he is present. His knowledge of show competitors and exhibitors, particularly in the horse and beef sections is greatly admired and appreciated by the show movement nationally.
