The 2021 Royal Launceston Show will be staged at Quercus Park, Carrick, home of Tasmania‘s largest field day, AGFEST from the 7th – 9th October.
The move follows an amical tri partisan arrangement between the Royal National Agricultural & Pastoral Society of Tasmania (RNAPS), the University of Tasmania (UTAS) and the City of Launceston (CofL) to allow the RNAPS to surrender its remaining tenure on its 99 year lease of part of the former Inveresk Railyards.
Our Society wishes to thank all those people and entities who have supported the Royal Launceston Show during our tenure at the Inveresk Precinct and we hope that you all continue to be a part of one of northern Tasmania‘s most popular events.
The Quercus Park venue is an ideal location to conduct the Royal Launceston Show with most of the necessary infrastructure already established and more than ample space to expand the current activities of the Royal Show.
Following the cancellation of the 2020 Royal Launceston Show event organizers are working tirelessly to reinvigorate the model of their event providing grass roots agricultural show content that will engage the imagination of the whole family.
This is an exciting and demanding time for members of our Society as we move to a new venue in 2021 and work towards our Society‘s 150th Anniversary in 2023.
With an expected increase in the show program RNAPS is seeking the support of interested people who may wish to volunteer their time to assist in the conduct of northern Tasmania‘s Royal Show.
Expressions of interest will be forwarded to past exhibitors and supporters over coming weeks and any new individuals or entities wishing to become involved are most welcome and may direct enquiries to the Society office on (03) 6331 6044 or email royalltonshow@bigpond.com.
RNAPS wishes to take this opportunity to thank Rural Youth Tasmania for their co–operation in negotiating this exciting new arrangement.
