The anticipation is growing for the prestigious 2024 National Final Championships that will take place at the Melbourne Royal Show. From September 28th to October 6th, the best young judges and paraders aged 15 to 25 along with Rural Ambassadors aged 20-20 from across the country will converge to showcase their skills and compete for top honours in various agricultural disciplines.
With qualification earned through rigorous competition at regional and state levels, these finalists represent the cream of the crop in Australian agricultural shows. This year’s National Championship consist of nine competitions in the Young Judges and Paraders space along with the National Rural Ambassador Award.
September 28th: The event kicks off with the Dairy Paraders competition at 8:00 am, followed by the Dairy Young Judges at 10:00 am.
September 30th: Poultry enthusiasts will take the stage at 11:30 am to display their expertise.
October 1st: Merino Fleece judging starts bright and early at 8:30 am, followed by the Meat Breeds Sheep competition at 11:00 am, and the Merino Sheep event at 2:00 pm.
October 2nd: Grain Young Judges will commence at 9am, followed by the Beef Parader Competition at 1:00 pm, and the Beef Young Judges at 3:00 pm.
October 5th: The spotlight shifts to the future leaders of agriculture with Rural Ambassador Interviews beginning at 9:30 am.
Following a morning of interviews, the evening will be jammed packed with the excitement of the Australia Young Farmer’s Challenge.
October 6th: The event culminates in the prestigious Rural Ambassador Gala Lunch at 12:30 pm, celebrating the achievements and dedication of the Rural Ambassador National Finalists.
