Applications are now open for Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief program (SASW).

The SASW program will work on two levels:

Reimbursement of Showground rental (and other associated eligible expenses) paid by eligible travelling
Show businesses at eligible Ag Shows held between 1 July 2021 to 31 May 2022 and Showground rental relief payments for upcoming Ag Shows from 1 June 2022 – 30 June 2023.

The Victorian Showmen’s Guild will provide the rental relief funding to Ag Show Societies and Showmen’s Guilds / Associations.
For shows held between 1 July 2021 and 31 May 2022, the Ag Show Societies and Showmen’s Guilds / Associations will then be
responsible for distributing the reimbursements to eligible show businesses.

Information about SASW program eligibility and procedures, along with relevant forms to assist Ag Show Societies
and the Showmen’s Guilds / Association in the application process are all found HERE

SASW Intro

While there is a little bit of a process to follow and paperwork involved, it is important so that we can remit the appropriate
Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief Program payments to the
Showmen’s Guilds / Association, and eligible Ag Show Societies in a timely manner.

The opportunity and impact the Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief Program
provides will help our industry and travelling Showmen and women and Show businesses get the show back on the road.

Get the ball rolling
We encourage Ag Shows Societies and Showmen’s Guilds / Associations to review the program information and start the ball
rolling with applying for reimbursement of past shows on behalf of eligible travelling Showmen and Women and Show businesses.

Ag Show Societies and Showmen’s Guilds / Association Delegates will be key to coordinating the timely submission of applications,
from information provided by Showmen’s Guild / Association Delegates and eligible travelling Show businesses.
Victorian Showmen’s Guild will be working closely with Ag Show Societies and Showmen’s Guilds and Associations to coordinate the
reimbursement of rental expenses and other associated eligible expenses for past shows.

Over the coming weeks Victorian Showmen’s Guild will be contacting individual Ag Show Societies organisers across Australia
and Showmen’s Guilds and Associations for upcoming shows to help guide them through the process.

The Victorian Showmen’s Guild would once again like to thank all Australian Showmen’s Guilds and Association and
Ag Shows Australia (ASA), along with the state and territory peak bodies for their support and assistance.

We are excited to work with you all, to deliver this program for the betterment of our industry.

If you, or your members have any questions regarding the program, how to apply for reimbursement on past shows
or rent relief for upcoming shows, please don’t hesitate to contact me on SASWProgram@gmail.com. We are here to help.

Kind regards
