Animal rights activists may target your agricultural show. It is therefore important that all volunteers and committee members have clear guidelines provided. This will allow them to provide leadership to everyone, including competitors, in the section that may be impacted.

To help shows prepare for this potential risk, we have put together two simple documents.

The aim of these documents is for show societies to have a simple animal welfare statement that they can include in their schedule (should they wish) and a clear and concise 1-page activist response page. This particular document is designed for internal use among show committee members, councillors and animal volunteers to educate and prepare them prior to the show commencing. Preparation will ensure everyone is clear on the simple procedures should an incident arise.
