Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in and attended ASA’s recent free webinar, Entertainment on a Budget, presented by Tony Laffan, Head of Entertainment at the RNA (Ekka).
The session was a strong success, attracting 57 participants who joined for the full 45-minute webinar. It was encouraging to see such strong engagement from members looking for practical, affordable ideas to support entertainment planning at their Shows.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive:
- 100% of surveyed participants said the session was useful to them and their Show Society.
- 100% said they would attend another free ASA webinar in the future.

Members are encouraged to join us for the next free ASA webinar, Psychosocial Hazard Awareness, to be held on 24 July at 12.00pm AEST.
This important session will be delivered by Jane Kikeros, Chief People and Strategy Officer at the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, and will focus on helping Shows better understand psychosocial hazards and practical ways to manage risks in Show environments.
The webinar will cover how to:
- Define psychosocial hazards and understand their impact on the physical and mental health of committee members.
- Understand legal obligations relating to psychosocial hazards.
- Explore practical prevention and control strategies to help eliminate or minimise psychosocial risks within Show environments.
