A recent economic profile study conducted by the NT Show Council on the seven NT Shows has highlighted the important benefits that these AgShows have on their communities and the economic benefit to the regions.
Rosemary Gibbins, Chair of the NT Show Council, outlined that the snapshot results of the annual show circuit attracted over 110,000 people, generated around $47 million in revenue and provided over 340 additional jobs.
Rosemary pointed out in her Chair’s Address that “The ongoing education of our regions and the connections the Shows create within their local communities is vital to strengthening the Territory’s economy. This publication demonstrates the impact of agriculture Shows in the Northern Territory and the social and economic benefits they hold”.
