AYFC Regional Grant Program
Thirteen Agricultural Shows and Next Gen groups in several States have received grant funding via the Australian Young Farmer Challenge (AYFC) Regional Grant Program. The project is jointly funded by Agricultural Shows Australia and the Australian Government’s DAWE National Landcare Program.
The AYFC, an initiative of Agricultural Shows Australia, is the showcase of young people in Australian agriculture, competing in diverse challenges of skill, technique, knowledge and safety.
The AYFC Regional Grant Program asked Shows and Next Gen groups to showcase their plans for a sustainable AYFC competition in their local area or their State, more broadly.
The 2020/21 Regional Grant Program has awarded over $66,000 in sponsorship and expects this funding to service over 40 AYFC Competitions at local Ag Shows over the next 18months.
The grants are supporting the costs of organising and running AYFC competitions at a local, regional and state level across Australia. The purpose of the program is to support the sharing of knowledge, encourage community initiatives and promote community leadership.
The successful applicants listed below have received funding for a range of projects including challenge equipment and trailers to facilitate equipment sharing between Shows.
